Testimonials:

  • - Andy

"After several rounds of physical therapy, at home directed exercise, and gym membership, this is the first approach to the issues associated with Parkinson's that I feel will help me maintain as much balance, strength, focus, and mental acuity as possible. I feel extremely fortunate to have found this avenue of treatment."

  • - Mario

"The improvement in my walking and balance is so good that my family no longer has to fear when I get out of the car to walk to a restaurant. I stand straight and tall which helps my breathing. My mental attitude and cognitive ability has improved. Overall my health is better and I don’t feel like such a burden on my family and friends."

  • - Judy

"I have only been training with Tanner a few months but I've seen a difference in my walking. The program, for me, works on my balance, strength, and walking (without dragging my foot) as well as doing mental exercises. I have noticed that while I'm in the ring, my tremors in my hands are gone."

  • - Wayne

"I was diagnosed with PLS (a form of Lou Gehrig's disease) which mainly affects my balance and dexterity. With Tanner's program and assistance I have seen improvements in my dexterity and greatly increased my balance, which means less falls!"

About Our Program:

Parkinson's Boxing, LLC was founded by “Ring 44” Hall of Fame Coach Dean Eoannou, near Buffalo, NY.

Dean was a boxing coach for over 20 years before converting his gym from training competition fighters to those with neurological conditions. He understood the link between boxing training and the brain, and had a vision to translate his knowledge into helping others. While the program began with treating Parkinson’s, over the years the program has evolved and expanded with new techniques and methods developed to address a multitude of diseases.

Dean & Tanner in the construction of Buffalo's newest location

Tanner Atkinson is the owner and head coach of Parkinson's Boxing in Myrtle Beach, SC; the only facility outside of the New York locations. He was introduced to the program by his brother and one of Dean’s former fighters’ turned coach at Dean’s facility. When Coach Tanner and Taylor’s father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, he began attending Dean’s facility and Tanner witnessed the programs benefits first-hand. This inspired him to work directly with Dean to bring this program down home to help those in The Grand Strand.

The more people we’ve helped, the more our team has grown. So whether you work with Coach Tanner, Franco, or Matt, your road to success begins with Parkinson's Boxing.

Let’s take your life back, one punch and one step at a time.
